Gillian’s love of riding came about from completing Ironman NZ not once, but twice in 2004 and 2005. Along with a passion for enabling people to experience the health benefits of riding, her physiotherapy background makes her a firm believer in the importance of the perfect bike fit for rider to prevent injury and obtaining the optimum comfort while riding. She enjoys both road and mountain biking, along with running.
Josh moved from Wellington to Rotorua with his partner Rachel and their twin boys, to make the most of the incredible lifestyle our city offers! Josh is a wealth of knowledge about bikes and new product that are coming onto the market. Ensuring that Cyclezone continues to provide riders with the very best on offer from the biggest brands.
When he’s not at Cyclezone, or with his boys he loves to ride the native at the top of Whakarewarewa Forest, including Tihi o Tawa.
Bryce has had a long history with bikes. He first started riding and racing bikes when he was 12, encouraged by his Dad, Nick.
Bryce is dedicated to providing the ‘ultimate rider experience’ through his love and passion for riding and inspiring others.
Bryce is keen to get more people on bikes – from children through to grandparents. And there is a bike to suit everyone’s needs and wants, including the ever-growing E-Bike range.
Hailing all the way from the Scottish Highlands. Mike came to New Zealand, discovered the weather was way better…….and now he’s here to stay and is our longest serving staff member.
He loves a good long black and Kataore is his pick of Whakarewarewa Forest! When not working on bikes he enjoys watching Motorsport and racing R.C’s.
Make sure you come and have a yarn with Mike, he’s a wealth of knowledge on bikes and on which trails are running mint in the forest!
Aaron moved back to New Zealand at the end of 2017, after working in Perth. Born and bred in Taranaki, he’s pretty stoked to be back in New Zealand and raising his young son Nixon, on the trails of Whakarewarewa with his wife Kristy.
Aaron is a natural people person, who is dedicated to providing you with the ‘ultimate rider experience’ with us at Cyclezone.
He loves riding in the forest and is a regular for our Shop Lead Rides most Wednesday’s nights – make sure you ask him about them when you’re instore.
Rodney orginially hailed from Dargaville, before moving to Auckland and residing on the beatiful Waiheke Island. He soon realized that he was spending all his spare time and holiday’s riding in Rotorua and he should really move here! We’re stoked he did! He’s one of our awesome Workshop Mechanics – who also rides dirt bikes, practices yoga, loves basketball and is also a qualified Massage Therapist!
His favourite trails in Whakarewarewa………….Tihi, Billy and Kung Fu!
Riley is our ‘Girl Friday’ at Cyclezone, providing assistance to customer and the CZR Team alike.
Riley is working hard to raise money for her School Trip to Europe later this year and her knowledge of Bikes, Accessories and Apparel is growing.
Riley enjoys working with customers to ensure that their needs and wants are met, whatever their purchase may be. You’ll find Riley instore at Cyclezone most Saturdays and during the School Holidays. We’re delighted to have her on the Cyclezone Team.
Connor is our Cyclezone Workshop Junior, which pretty much the starting point for all great Workshop and Pro Mechanics.
He’s learning all aspects of the workshop under the watching eye of our trained mechanics, covering everything from Bike Assembly to Puncture Repair and more.
Connor loves riding and enjoys spending time at Skyline Gravity Park as well as Dodzy’s Skills Park. Make sure you ask him about the latest trick he’s mastered!
Graham is another of our imports, hailing from Perth.
He came for a visit with his family, early 2018 and jumped at the opportunity to become one of the Cyclezone Team.
He loves exploring the Whakarewarewa Forest, with Billy T featuring in his top 5 trails. He drinks flat whites, loves a good custard tart and dishing out the best customer service he can!

Philly loves riding in the Whakarewarewa Forest with her family, friends and girl gang. She loves the social side of riding and really enjoys being part of the Rotorua riding community! Philly highly recommends riding with people who can support and help develop your skills – or even taking a class to help increase confidence on the bike and tackle any mental barriers that may be holding you back from attempting that ‘tricky bit’ of trail that plays on your mind!
Philly also loves Women’s Ride Month in October each year – a whole month dedicated to inspiring more women to get on bikes with Cyclezone and Specialized.
